Plan of the Week | 09

Another week has started.

  • Start Kay’s tabi socks
  • Start Kay’s tabi boots.
  • Add belt straps onto Kay’s skirt
  • Sew snaps onto Kay’s skirt
  • Make clasps for Kay’s bag
  • Finish painting broach
  • Start Kay’s Key
  • By the way, I am feeling much, much better & I’m ready to start finishing up cosplays and starting VN02! Only about 4 weeks to go!

Goal of the Week 08 | Update

It’s the end of the week, and let me just say this. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day anymore. I used to be fine with how long days went, but now it seems like time is rushing by so fast. When I look at the time, it’s 10 PM when I think it should have been 7 PM. School is also ending in 14 days. It feels like just yesterday, I entered my new school. Not that I’m sad about this school year ending or anything

  • Finish Kay’s Vest.
  • Start Kay’s Skirt.
  • Paint white details on vest.
  • Start Scarf.
  • Start broach.
  • I actually did a lot of productive things this week! I finished Kay’s vest [ Which includes white details ] and scarf. I’m going to try and finish her skirt right now, and after i’m going to cut of the buckle of a belt I bought from a 99 cent store [ Didn’t cost 99 cents though.. ] and paint it gold, since it’s silver. Then I’m gonna start making her belt bag! I’m a bit nervous about the bag because it’s my very first time making a pattern entirely by myself, without any direction whatsoever. Usually, my mom makes the patterns for my cosplays, so I’m hoping I’ve studied enough to make this bag right. Something that is irking me though is the bag clips that she has. I can’t find them anywhere.. I’m thinking of using those clips that they use for sock garters as a substitute.

Plan of the Week 07 | Update

    Saturday is here!

  • Start cutting out Kay’s fabric.
  • Start sewing Kay’s clothes.
  • Start any one of Kay’s props. [ Most likely the key ]
  • Sketch out the white designs on Kay’s vest.
  • So, most of the goals were completed except for starting one of Kay’s props. I’ll try to do that next week. I actually did some other Kay related things this week as well. Today, I went to Chinatown with Ichigo to grab some matching green contacts for Kay, which can double up as contacts for my VN02 cosplay! Killing two birds with one stone, like my friend mentioned when I asked her if I should get them. I also grabbed matching wigs for Kay. A note about that, since you guys might have seen my Kay wig already. That did not work well on me because I have a pretty big head. So when I put it on, there was no way that I could get it on my head right, so I have to buy a base wig and make a ponytail clip on for that. It’s a little disappointing, but you have to do what you have to do.

Plan of the Week | 07

First off, Happy Mothers Day! I hope you guys have a good one.

Now for the plan of the week!

  • Start cutting out Kay’s fabric.
  • Start sewing Kay’s clothes.
  • Start any one of Kay’s props. [ Most likely the key ]
  • Sketch out the white designs on Kay’s vest.
  • So, as you can see, all of the goals are for Kay Faraday’s costume. I really hope to finish it in two weeks so I can start VN02.

Plan of the Week 05 | Update + Story

  • Finish Miku
  • Pick up package from Post Office
  • Straighten Miku Ponytails
  • Finish Gekokujou hair ornaments.
  • Take photos of finished Miku costume
  • Buy GEO Angel Blue Contacts
  • Buy white fabric for VN02
  • Start cutting out VN02 pieces
  • So, half of my goals were completed. It would have actually been 5/8 if the contact lens place I went to had kept their word..

On Friday, I had a school trip and afterwards, we were let out early at around 1 PM, and I went to go eat lunch and took a long subway ride home. Afterwards, I decided to go to Chinatown and grab the contacts at a store I knew sold them. It took 40 minutes to get there, and it usually takes 20, but there was a traffic hold up, so I got there at around 3. I went inside the store and I asked the lady for the contacts, she checked her inventory and she didn’t have them in stock. So she told me “Come back at 6 PM.” Now, I was kind of irritated, because I used up my student metro card for the day when I had to go back home, so I had to use a regular metro card to come back at 6. When I got there at 6:04, she said “Oh! They didn’t bring them in, let me call them.” So she talked on the phone to the company & they told her that they would bring it before 7:30. The lady told me to come tomorrow [ Saturday ]. I didn’t go today because I did not want to waste my money on what would probably be another excuse that she did not have it & I would have wasted my money again. So i’m going after school on Monday to save my student metro card fare so I can get home without spending any money. I really do hope that she has them by that time, because Sakura Matsuri is coming up, and I need those contacts because I don’t want to look awkward with Ichigo, since she is wearing her contacts.

    Miku Hatsune | Completed

    Front shot

    Lower shot

    Full shot

I actually really don’t like this above shot, but it was the better out of the three I got taken.

So here is my ‘completed’ Miku Hatsune costume. I put the ‘ ‘ around completed because I didn’t finish making the little parts of the costume; hair & tie clips. I’m also not wearing my stockings because I forgot them.

As you can see, the ponytails of the wig are still wavy.. I’m trying really hard to get them back to normal, but i’m running out of patience. I’ll try at least 6-10 more times to get it back to normal. But, if nothing happens then i’m just going to leave it like that and comb out the tangles.

Plan of the Week | 03

I’ve been really busy, so this will be a 3-day plan of the week!

  • Finish Luces’ jacket.
  • Cut out/Start sewing Miku Hatsune.
  • Get rest of fabric needed on Fri/Sat.
  • Start making hair ornaments for Gekokujou.
  • So you can probably guess from the first bullet, that I started Luce already. I was actually supposed to have the dress finished too, but it turns out that it’s too tight. I have to remake the front part of the dress to make it work out. So I put the dress aside & started the jacket. All I have to do is add the orange star looking thing that she has on the back of the jacket & make the scarf.
